Support Squad Opportunities

Join our Support Squad and help deliver transformative experiences to children with life-altering medical conditions and their families.

When you volunteer with us, you become part of the Camp Korey story: a caring, supportive, and compassionate community working to enrich the lives of campers, families, and guests year-round.

Support Squad volunteers, like you, play an essential role in our ability to offer Summer Camps, Family Weekends, and Camp to You programs to children living with complex and life-altering medical conditions and their families, completely free of charge.

To make camp magic happen year-round at our Main Campus in Mount Vernon, Camp to You partner hospitals, special events, and at-home volunteer opportunities, we need a diverse mix of skills, experiences, and availability.

Camp Korey

Giving your time and heart to support joy, adventure, and transformational experiences for campers is a rewarding practice and you become a part of the Camp Korey story: a caring, supportive, and compassionate community that comes together to enrich the lives of our children living with life-altering medical conditions and their families.  Some of the key volunteer roles include;

  • 客舱顾问 are responsible for the direct supervision of children in a cabin group partnering with seasonal staff. Counselors provide basic behavioral and psycho-social support to campers, program daily cabin activities, and support unit leaders in the execution of unit programming.
  • 家庭伙伴 are responsible for helping to implement camp programs as well as engaging and supporting camper families. Family Pals are generalists who play many different roles throughout the weekend… including welcoming them “home to camp” and helping the families to get situated and acquainted with their surroundings. Family Pals at different times supervise groups of campers, lead activities and work behind the scenes to help us keep camp on the go.
  • 活动团队 members partner with staff to help to facilitate all activities in their assigned areas. From archery to arts & crafts, these team members keep camp running. Activity counselors also have the important job of ensuring each camper has the support they need throughout activities and help to create a safe and fun environment for everyone!
  • 厨房志愿者 在食物准备、膳食设置、洗碗和一般清洁方面支持厨师,让每个人都充满乐趣!
