Spring at Camp Korey has seen an incredible blossoming of amazing volunteer groups and new exciting opportunities! Not including all of our amazing program volunteers, we have also seen the incredible growth of our group volunteer program already this year.
This spring we have welcomed more than 100 volunteers, which translates to 500+ hours of hard work together to create memorable experiences for our campers and families!
We were lucky enough to welcome teams from Glassybaby, DeLille Cellars, Microsoft, Rotary District 5050, and People Bank up to our beautiful Camp Korey property. Each team brought a bright attitude and hardworking spirit and we were not shy about putting them to work!
Whether it was helping to create kits for our Camp To You program, jumping in to help our housekeeping team by cleaning those well-loved program areas, assisting our facilities team in building new greenhouses or rebooting our garden program, no matter what task was put in front of these groups they were always willing to say yes and jump right in! Working together to establish these deeply rooted partnerships in our community allows us to continue our mission of serving campers and families at camp and beyond.
As spring slowly transitions into summer, we are excited to welcome many more volunteer groups here to our Camp Korey property! New friends from Global Credit Union in Mount Vernon, a dedicated team from WSSHE (Washington State Society of Healthcare Engineers) who will be bringing skilled hands to join us for the 3rd year in a row, as well as another bullseye of a group from Target Corporate will all be joining us to get ready for summer programming in 2024!
