Your Impact

Your support means everything to us.  As a direct result of your contribution of time, talent, or treasure, we can provide life-changing therapeutic recreation to children with serious and life-threatening illnesses.

What You Achieve

  • You enrich lives – campers do things at Camp Korey they never thought possible.  Thanks to a safe, supportive, specially-designed environment, camper “firsts” might include: eating solid food, climbing a 30-foot wall, sharing their experience of illness or treatment, making a friend, or spending a week away from home.  These may seem like small accomplishments, but they are big milestones in the life of a child with a serious illness.  Campers gain self-confidence, learn teamwork, and understand themselves better after time at camp.
  • You turn patients into children – campers are used to undergoing treatments, doctor visits, physical restrictions and constant scrutiny.  Camp Korey is their chance to let loose and have fun.  Everyone at camp sees beyond illness to the talents and preferences of the individual camper.
  • You support local families – for many families living with childhood illness, Camp Korey offers the first opportunity in many years for a vacation.  Parents may get their first hours alone or with a sibling while their child is at camp, and take a breath knowing he or she is well cared for and having a ball.  Camp Korey is a resource for Northwest families, providing opportunities to connect to a strong network of peers struggling with the same challenges.
  • You foster a community – campers, volunteers, staff, doctors, parents, siblings, donors, and event attendees join together in support of Camp Korey’s mission.  When you contribute to Camp Korey, you are joining this alliance and helping to sustain it through programs and events.

Why We Need You

  • Camp Korey is free to all children and families
  • The cost to provide an empowering Camp Korey experience for one child is $2,765 – a campership.
  • Camp Korey is sustained through grants, corporate sponsorships, and the generous support of individuals and corporations.
