Family Weekend Volunteers: Bleeding Disorders (Camp I’vy, Jr.*)

*We will be serving youth age newborn+, and their families. Camp I’vy Jr. will be providing additional volunteers to work with children 0-7 when parents are not available for direct supervision.
Spring Family Weekends 2015
Our five Family Weekends this spring are filled with incredible families that look forward to coming to Camp Korey all year. Join these camper families to help them experience the joy, growth and healing during a weekend of camp.
Full! Family Pals: These volunteers will act as camp counselors and ambassadors to Camp Korey by spending the weekend with a specific family. Volunteers will eat meals with them, move through the various activities with them, and have a great weekend themselves! Age 19+. - 3:30pm Friday – 3pm Sunday
Program Volunteer: This role would place you working directly with campers in one of our program areas. We often need help in Arts & Crafts, Archery, Climbing Wall, or Lifeguarding. These positions often require special certifications and skills. Age 19+. Available shifts are listed below!
- Saturday AM 9:30am – 12:30pm
- Saturday PM 2:30 – 6pm
Ceramics Volunteers: Volunteers in this role assist with passing out paints, interacting with campers and families, and assist with glazing and kiln loading. No experience necessary, as you’ll work closely with and receive training on camp ceramics with our Program Coordinator.
- Saturday AM 7:45am – 10:30am
Culinary Dream Team: Are you interested in the culinary arts, Farm to Table, and sustainable practices? Culinary Dream Team volunteers support our Executive Chef and kitchen team in the preparation of all the delicious food our campers and families eat during all of our camp programs. Age 16+. Available shifts are listed below.
- Friday PM (3-9pm)
- Saturday AM (7:30am-2pm)

- Full! Sunday AM (7:30am-12:30pm)
Parent Dinner Hosts: Parent Dinner Hosts are responsible for creating the warmth and ambiance that makes these meals so nice! A Parent Dinner Host prepares the hot beverages, dishes and cutlery, and help set up a meal that has already been cooked by our fabulous Culinary Dream Team. The Parent Diner Host will also help restock items throughout the meal, and clean up the space afterwards.
- Saturday PM (4:45-7:45pm)
Certified Pet Therapy Teams: Camp Korey’s Pet Therapy Program is a great opportunity for certified pet therapy teams to come to camp and meet our wonderful campers. Teams will visit campers and families in their different program areas.

- Saturday PM (3-5pm)
Clean Team: If you are a cleaning machine and enjoy housekeeping tasks such as making the beds and more, then this is for you! Clean Team meets directly following each Family Weekend and is the magic behind the scenes. Available shifts are listed below.
- Sunday 12:30-3pm
- Monday 10am-2pm
- Tuesday 10am-2pm
Full! Medical Staff Volunteers: To keep them as safe as we possibly can, we need a lot of medical support for all our programs. Whether you’re a physician, nurse, or nurse practitioner, we would love to have you join our programs!
